So I was involved in this week-long editing time challenge that assigned you fonts and you were supposed to make a video based around them.

Assigning every Graveborn a song or two (Part 1):

1) Igor

Necromancin Dancin is just full of undead chaos and evil whimsical energy, just like our tombstone jumping mosquito man :3c, while Vibrant Eyes can be seen as Igor struggling to repress the Graveborn energy during his early Graveborn life (failed to calm Cedartown residents' fear, accidentally scared his child friend by killing her bullies)

Typical Me by kroh can be a good replacement for Vibrant Eyes but I think Vibrant Eyes fits more (even though I don't listen to CG5 as much anymore aha... Anyways)

2) Viperian

Viperian gives off heavy Alastor vibes for me, he mass murder people with a permanent, sadistic smile, and also would act all nice to manipulate his victims (citation: the girl from Rat Infestation side quest). He is also the type of person who is so obsessed with human anatomy to the point he CRAVES to take a bite of it, therefore Butcher Vanity.

If it's not obvious enough I headcanon him as a cannibal. I don't know IT JUST MAKES SENSE IN MY HEAD

(Bonus song: I'm Sane by Axie. Literally this song is basically Viperian creating the Kraken /j)

3) Cecia

Cecia. A beautiful opera singer. An absolute queen that is egotistical, yet has a soft side of her that she doesn't show quite often. She often expresses her being above everyone else's, a noble to be respected (and maybe worship????) so yeah Pomegranate Lips comes to mind. Her design also reminds me of Alice Angel from Bendy, and since both of them are talented singers and are harsh and egotistical, I kinda see any Alice Angel songs as Ceciacore

4) Niru

Now Niru only has one song simply because THIS SONG PERFECTLY ENCAPSULATES HIS INSANE MIND and him slowly lost it when he touched the art of necromancy. "Now I must finish what I started" can be referred to him being executed when he got accused of failing his duty as a doctor. IT'S SO SO SO GOOD Y'ALL SHOULD LISTEN TO IT SHAYFER IS SO UNDERRATED

5) Thoran

Shoutout to an oomf of mine who recommended these two songs for me when I was dumping Thoran lore to them, Thoran building his Graveborn Empire and dealing with the devil Quaedam can be expressed by both these songs respectively

I’d never heard of precious jewel armor before reading your post talking about c!wilbur songs and now I’m listening to these songs and doing a thousand yard stare into the distance coping with all these emotions, GREAT artist thank you for the inadvertent recommendation!

amanda fagan made some of the very first songs for a few characters, most notably her ‘take you down’ for quackity, ‘bittersweet’ for jack manifold, and ‘promises you couldn’t keep’ for niki. i will be very blunt, i do not like how she writes wilbur, and i would not recommend her wilbur songs, but ‘take you down’ is still the best written quackity song out there, and ‘bittersweet’ is incredible. do check out her work.

kanaya is a name most people have heard before but i need you all to listen to a song that is not marionettes or violence because guys. guys my god. yeah ‘i’ll let it burn’ is alright whatever have you heard ‘november 16th’? have you heard ‘us against the world’? please. i love her work. she did a collab with precious jewel amor where she wrote tommy’s song and precious wrote tubbo’s, they’re both great. ‘little hero’ is gorgeous. if i don’t think about ‘no reprise’ it can’t hurt me.

kroh made the ranboo song of all time and i will forever be greatful for that. go listen to ‘typical me’, amazing song, ‘hush’ is cool too. oh yeah kroh also made ‘mr bones’. i guess. but who gives a shit about ‘mr bones’ when ‘typical me’ is so good, you have to believe me. ‘home’ is also really good and way more underrated than ‘typical me’ so you should listen to it as well, more even.

candlebard only made two dream smp songs. and one of them is a dream song. that i haven’t listened to. but i would be fucking wrong if i didn’t tell you about ‘disappear’. oh my god ‘disappear’. i could write essays on this song. i love it so much. it is the c!wilbur song of all time, nothing will ever get him like ‘disappear’. it has everything, seasonal metaphors, an empathetic perspective on wilbur’s fall into destruction, incredible music. that’s all you need to make me happy really. this song has less than 200k views and that’s a crime. go listen to it please.

cjack, like candlebard, only made two dream smp songs, and i have only listened to one of them, but i physically couldn’t not bring up ‘phantom feelings’. it’s so important to me. no ghostbur song is like ‘phantom feelings’ i’m telling you. go listen to it, every other ghostbur song will be ruined for you forever. you will never be able to appreciate ‘blue’ by derivakat again because you will know there is better. and you have heard it.

hatorbee is a musician i’ve literally never seen anybody talk about but i needed to bring them up because they’ve made? so many songs? and to be very frank with you, are they all great? no. like musically some of these songs are not the best, but fuck damnit they should write poetry. also they get these characters more than some songs that sound amazing so. you win some you lose some. ‘one more dance’ was a core part of my dsmp phase and also the only skephalo song i’ve ever heard and the only reason i gave a shit about them. the timing is weird, the vocal performance isn’t perfect and is mixed strangely, but you can feel the passion oozing out of it. they also made the only karlnapity song with precious jewel amor and winks, and it’s kind of incredible? i might cry? also lies in the letters is very good wilbur characterisation. i’m giving it a strong stamp of approval.

bonus: ‘the mad king wilbur’ was deleted in it’s original video form recently but the topic reupload and an animatic still exist. watch one of them, the song is incredible and gorgeous. also not fansongs but cyborg blood’s crimeboys animatics make me very emotional and you should watch them specifically their ‘by your hand’ wilbur animatic.

so rocky used to be a bandit with his partner in crime, marceline. well one day a train heist went Horribly Wrong, and rocky got shot off the train. he fell under the wheels and fucking died! so marceline was obviously like WHAT THE FUCK so she contacted some kind of god somehow idk ill get to that later and rocky was brought back!!!! except Very Wrong. so now hes the void guy youve all seen! he cant talk anymore, he can only parrot back what other people have said to him in a voice that give everyone an EXTREME uncanny valley sense, so he usually stays quiet. i drew him pre voidification cause i like his face. rocky is his nickname, he doesnt remember his real one. he got it cause this cunt climbs anything he can dig his grubby little fingers into. like u look away for like 2 minutes and surprise! hes on ur roof. if hes bored enough he’ll crawl under ur deck too

ive redone mr satellites story a little. so hes a bounty hunter, kind of set in the star wars universe??? idk. so before the whole bounty hunter thing he was a cargo pilot, he and his ship got sucked into a black hole but he lived! somehow!! and now his molecules are unstable!!!! basically he can pull a reaper overwatch and kind of Disintegrate, move his atoms around, and reform wherever. he uses this to get into weird spaces, thru doors n vents and all that. idk how he got into bounty hunting yet im workin on that. satellite hasnt like . talked to other human beings in a hot while so hes a little, how you say. batshit.

Hi howdy!! It's been going really great, actually! I just spent like 4 hours painting after not painting for like 6 months :D

I usually listen to approx. 3 boatloads of indie, but today I was in more of an intense music mood! I have this playlist called Songs that go hard that I LOVE that was my soundtrack today. In particular I was really vibing with Typical Me by kroh and Lose Control by Teddy Swims :)

anyway if you're curious here are the general ideas:

Suns: typical me by kroh. doesn't really follow the lyrics, but more uses it as a soundtrack to suns actions and the fall out with pebbs.

artisaint au: i like to call it the saint and sinner au, which. isn't very creative but sh. probably would just be dear arkansas daughter by lady lamb. specifically the bit that everyone uses lmao.

arti pup: i think a animatic with dead mom from beetlejuice could be fun. this would be an au based off of the theory of arti's pups being adopted/also gourms. one of arti's pups, prob the one who got stabbed lmao.

plain arti: multiple options. either lonely king by cg5, mama's gun by glass animals, or francis forever by mitski. depending on how emo im feeling.

sos and saint: the i am not insane animation meme that was popular a while ago.

scav king: maybe something with evelyn evelyn. i personally like the idea of scav king being one of the scavs who was at the toll that arti lost her pups at. it would give them a more involved storyline. specifically, king would be one of those at the toll, would be one of the scavs to first actually acknowledge her as a threat, and when the current scav king refused to acknowledge it, challenged the king and won, causing the hatred of arti being so universally accepted.
